Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his maiden title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a challenging year, managing just one match at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with former coach Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court since that period of 2023.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one various competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six finals, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
His retrieving strategy and recurring emotional displays on court had prompted some to doubt if his ability to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and perform assertively, backed up by an improved service.
The champion came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, taking four of the final five games to go ahead.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his initial professional title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He defended four initial break points in a close deciding set before the Russian broke to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
