I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
